Tuna Hoagie with Melted Cheese

A simple, deli-style tuna and cheese hoagie made with creamy seasoned tuna, crisp fresh vegetables, and melted cheese layered inside a soft hoagie roll. This sandwich balances rich, savoury flavour with fresh crunch, and can be served cold for a light meal or toasted for a warm, melty finish. Perfect for a quick lunch, takeaway menu, or casual food-service offering.

Ingredients

Increase Portion Size

  •   Country Range Baguette
  •   tin Country Range Tuna
  •   slices cheddar cheese (or American/Swiss)
  •   tbsp mayonnaise (for mixing tuna)
  •   tbsp butter (optional, for toasting)
  •   lettuce leaves
  •   slices tomato
  •   slices red onion
  •   pinch Salt & pepper to taste

    Step 1

    In a bowl, mix the drained tuna with mayonnaise, salt, pepper, and optional lemon juice until creamy and well combined.

    Slice the hoagie roll lengthwise, leaving one side slightly hinged if preferred.

    Layer the sandwich with lettuce, tomato slices, tuna mixture, red onion and cheese slices.

    Lightly butter the outside of the roll

    Toast in a pan or sandwich press for 3–5 minutes

    Heat until the cheese begins to melt and the bread is golden

    Serve immediately while warm (or fresh if not toasted).
