Catering colleges and aspiring chefs across the UK are being urged to enter the Country Range Student Chef Challenge after the deadline was extended to December 22nd to allow more time for teams to enter and for them to perfect their menus. With a great amount of interest and excitement from colleges and students across the UK and Ireland the organisers decided a deadline extension was needed to ensure that teams have enough time to enter for what is set to be the best competition year yet.
If they like, teams who have already submitted their menus can take this extra time to practice review and resubmit their menus before the new deadline!
Graham Caldwell, organiser of the Country Range Student Chef Challenge, said: “The start of the college year in September and lead up to Christmas can be such a busy period for lecturers and students so we felt it was only fair to extend the deadline to allow the teams time to fine-tune their menus. There has been a great amount of interest shown in this years challenge and we want to make it extra special and have as many teams enter as possible so hopefully the deadline extension will allow us to do this.”
The first stage of the competition is a written menu submission, teams can send their menu submissions through to hello@countryrange.co.uk by 22nd December.
