Step 1Place a splash of olive oil into a pan and fry the onion with the garlic for 3-4 minutes.
Step 2Add the minced beef to the onions and garlic and cook for 4-5 minutes.
Step 3Add the Tomato & Basil Sauce to the mince and cook for a further 4-5 minutes.
Step 4Cook the potatoes in boiling water.
Step 5Drain the potatoes well, add the butter and mash until smooth. Season and place into a piping bag with a star nozzle.
Step 6Place the minced beef mixture into an earthenware dish, chill for 1 hour then top with the mashed potato.
Step 7Brush with melted butter and place in the oven at 185°C/Gas Mark 6. Remove and serve.
- 300 g minced beef
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- splash of olive oil
- 1 clove garlic
- 4 large tbsp Country Range Tomato & Basil RTU Sauce
- 4 large potatoes, peeled and cut into medium pieces (for the mash)
- 150 g Country Range Salted Butter
