Flattened Crispy Croissants

Ingredients

- Country Range Butter Croissants
- tsp Country Range Ground Cinnamon
- ml Country Range Honey
- Beaten egg
- ml Double cream
- g Caster Sugar
- tsp Vanilla Essence
- g Butter
- Apple (peeled and chopped)
- tsp Icing Sugar to dust

Step 1
In a large bowl whisk together the beaten egg, double cream, caster sugar, cinnamon and vanilla. -

Flatten 2 stale croissants and soak in the egg mix. -

Melt the butter in a frying pan and fry the eggy croissants on both sides until golden brown. -

Step 4
Add the honey and keep turning the croissants until they caramelise and soak up most of the honey. Once crisp, remove from the pan and place onto a serving dish. -

Add the apples to the frying pan with a knob of butter and toss until golden, add a little more honey and serve over the croissants. -

Dust with icing sugar and serve.
