King Prawn Paella

King prawn paella using smoked paprika

Ingredients

Increase Portion Size

  •   tsp Country Range Smoked Paprika
  • g Country Range King Prawns
  • g Short grain rice
  • ml olive oil
  • g Diced chorizo
  •   Finley diced onion
  •   Crushed cloves of garlic
  •   Diced red pepper
  • g peas
  •   pinch saffron
  •   ltr Chicken or fish stock

    Step 1

    Fry the chorizo, onion, red pepper and garlic in the olive oil in a thick bottomed frying or paella pan
  • 2

    Step 2

    Add the short grain rice and coat in the vegetable and oil mix
  • 3

    Step 3

    Add the paprika and saffron and add the chicken/fish stock
  • 4

    Step 4

    Simmer gently for 18 mins until the stock is absorbed by the rice
  • 5

    Step 5

    Add the peas and king prawns and place a lid on top and steam for 2 mins
  • 6

    Step 6

    Remove from the heat and allow to rest for 5 mins
  • 7

    Step 7

    Season to taste and serve
